What's the Best Inexpensive Boost for an Outdated Kitchen? -- Good Questions

(Image credit: Apartment Therapy) Q: We just bought our first home. The kitchen is lovely, but oh so 70s! We don't have the funds or patience to do a remodel right now, but we still want to bring it somewhat up to date. We're planning on taking down the corner cabinet and putting the fridge there, taking out the light box, replacing the hardware and painting. Beyond that what should we do?
